The Å·ÖÞ±ÍøͶ_Å·ÖÞ±ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø Historical Society will hold its spring meeting on April 12. This year¡¯s program features Dr. Ann Boaden, a retired member of the Å·ÖÞ±ÍøͶ_Å·ÖÞ±ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø English Department and author of "Light & Leaven: Women Who Shaped Å·ÖÞ±ÍøͶ_Å·ÖÞ±ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø's First Century."

Vikings and opera ¨C beyond the clich¨¦
Athleticism and the arts are a natural at Å·ÖÞ±ÍøͶ_Å·ÖÞ±ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø, especially in opera. Football lineman Spencer Warfield ¡¯23 and fencer Soryn Richter ¡¯26 take the stage in ¡°Amahl and the Night Visitors¡± on April 21 and 23.

2023 Ethics Essay Contest winners announced
Emily Hogren, a sophomore from Port Byron, Ill., majoring in biology, is the winner of the 2023 Ethics Essay Contest for her paper, "The Commodification of Death: Chain Funeral Homes and Their Impact on Clients and Employees."
Clothesline Project
The Clothesline Project is an awareness event from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. for the Å·ÖÞ±ÍøͶ_Å·ÖÞ±ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø community to express support for victims and survivors of gender-based violence.

Swedish visiting choir to perform April 13
The choir of SVF-V?ttern Å·ÖÞ±ÍøͶ_Å·ÖÞ±ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø, J?nk?ping, Sweden, will perform at Å·ÖÞ±ÍøͶ_Å·ÖÞ±ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø on Thursday, April 13, as part of their 2023 spring tour of Illinois and Minnesota.
Dr. Ralph Troll to speak at Geifman Holocaust lecture April 24
Professor Emeritus of Biology Ralph Troll will speak at the annual Geifman Holocaust lecture on Monday, April 24, 7 p.m., in Wallenberg Hall. Dr. Troll will share his story of survival and achievement as a young boy during the Holocaust.
