Loiz ¡¯23 is All-American in first year of competing
High jumper Gabriela Loiz '23 earned All-American status at the NCAA DIII Outdoor National Championships in Rochester, N.Y. She is Å·ÖÞ±ÍøͶ_Å·ÖÞ±ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø's first women's All-American in the high jump since 1997.

Administrators from the City of Rock Island and Å·ÖÞ±ÍøͶ_Å·ÖÞ±ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø Å·ÖÞ±ÍøͶ_Å·ÖÞ±ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø broke ground on a six-court tennis complex at Lincoln Park, adjacent to campus. The project is slated to open for use by the college and the community this fall.

Legal scholar Anna Reosti to present 2023 Curtis Lecture May 18
Anna Reosti, a research professor at the American Bar Foundation in Chicago, will explore the persistent problems of housing affordability, access, and security in America at the Ellwood F. Making a difference 4,400 miles from home
Trilinguist Cl¨¦mence Doumeng¨¨s, a graduate student from France¡¯s University of Pau, interned with Å·ÖÞ±ÍøͶ_Å·ÖÞ±ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø¡¯s French program this semester. In addition to team-teaching with Dr. Kiki Kosnick, she led or assisted with co-curriculars for all language students, including escape rooms!

The $316,276 grant awarded by the Department of Health and Human Services¡¯ National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders will fund the three-year project. Students in Å·ÖÞ±ÍøͶ_Å·ÖÞ±ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø's communication sciences and disorders department will serve as researchers, develop counseling materials, provide sound therapy, as well as collect and analyze data.
