New student parking information

2025-26 parking permits

New students (residential, commuter, transfer, exchange/non-degree and graduate students) will have the opportunity to purchase parking permits once they receive their housing assignments in mid-July.

The new student parking lottery will be at 8:00 a.m. on Aug. 13, 2025. Any permit purchases received by USPS mail, in person, or online after 11:59 p.m. on August 12, will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis for all students.

Campus parking rules and regulations

Lottery information

On Aug. 13, 2025, Facilities Services will tally up all the permit purchase requests from new students based on their housing assignments, and then tally up how many spaces still remain in each residence area parking lot.

Example: Andreen Hall has 37 parking spaces remaining on Aug. 13, and there were 22 requests from new students for parking at Andreen Hall. No lottery would be necessary because this is enough parking to accommodate all requests.

Prices for residential and commuter permits

  • Full year: $230 (includes fall, J-term, and spring)
  • Semester only: $130 (14 weeks)
  • Partial semester: $80 (7 weeks)
  • J-term only: $45 (if full year is not purchased)
