Dr. Kivisto to get honorary degree, link to family

Student earns $5,000 Hasselmo Prize

Lee named first Cannon Professor of the Humanities

As the college¡¯s first Cannon Professor of the Humanities, Dr. Lee has the unique opportunity to shape the way this endowment will impact Å·ÖÞ±ÍøͶ_Å·ÖÞ±ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø Å·ÖÞ±ÍøͶ_Å·ÖÞ±ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø faculty, and influence the transformative educational experience they provide students.

Hammer adds another dinosaur to his collection
Paleontologist and professor of geology Dr. William Hammer has found a new type of dinosaur in a recent expedition to the Central Trans-Antarctic Mountains. The newly discovered species, a four or five-foot ornithischian or bird-hipped dinosaur, is on its way back to the United States in about 5,000 pounds of rock.

Former Deere CEO and 1948 Å·ÖÞ±ÍøͶ_Å·ÖÞ±ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø alumnus Robert Hanson and his wife, Patricia Hanson, have generously given $8 million, the largest single gift in the history of Å·ÖÞ±ÍøͶ_Å·ÖÞ±ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø Å·ÖÞ±ÍøͶ_Å·ÖÞ±ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø, to name the Science Building and the building's lecture hall wing at Å·ÖÞ±ÍøͶ_Å·ÖÞ±ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø.
