'Messiah' soloist has family ties to college

For the first time in nearly 100 years, Handel's "Messiah" at Å·ÖÞ±­ÍøÍ¶_Å·ÖÞ±­ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø Å·ÖÞ±­ÍøÍ¶_Å·ÖÞ±­ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø wasn't performed this past Christmas season. Instead it is being done this Sunday ¨C Palm Sunday ¨C at 3 p.m. in Centennial Hall.

The soprano soloist is Kathryn Mueller, whose husband's grandfather graduated from Å·ÖÞ±­ÍøÍ¶_Å·ÖÞ±­ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø in 1920 and later from Å·ÖÞ±­ÍøÍ¶_Å·ÖÞ±­ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø Seminary.

"I've wanted to sing 'Messiah' at Augie for years, and I'm so excited that it finally worked out for this year¡¯s performance," she said.
