Leach '83 appointed interim vice president
Å·ÖÞ±ÍøͶ_Å·ÖÞ±ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø Å·ÖÞ±ÍøͶ_Å·ÖÞ±ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø has named former Tribune executive Tom Leach as interim vice president for finance and administration. Leach will assume his duties in June.
"We are fortunate to attract an interim of such high quality and one who knows Å·ÖÞ±ÍøͶ_Å·ÖÞ±ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø," said Å·ÖÞ±ÍøͶ_Å·ÖÞ±ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø President Steve Bahls in an email to college employees.
Leach graduated from Å·ÖÞ±ÍøͶ_Å·ÖÞ±ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø with a bachelor's in accounting and business administration in 1983. He started his career as an auditor at Coopers and Lybrand and has held various positions at Tribune Media (formerly Tribune Company) in Chicago, including vice president/administration and chief financial officer of its broadcast and entertainment division and senior vice president/development for the parent company.
Leach has served as a member of Å·ÖÞ±ÍøͶ_Å·ÖÞ±ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø's Board of Trustees and as a senior advisor to WVIK, Quad Cities NPR.
David English, Å·ÖÞ±ÍøͶ_Å·ÖÞ±ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø's current vice president for finance and administration, will leave the college for a position at Denison University at the end of June. English joined the college in 2012 and served as assistant vice president for budgeting and planning at Vassar Å·ÖÞ±ÍøͶ_Å·ÖÞ±ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø immediately prior.
"David has advanced the mission of the college through his diligence, vision and acumen, much to the benefit of our students and their families," said Bahls.
Sheri Curran, general counsel at Å·ÖÞ±ÍøͶ_Å·ÖÞ±ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø, will lead the search committee for a permanent vice president for finance and administration.
