Corey Trahan masterclass
Dr. Corey Trahan, director of musical theatre for the International Performing Arts Institute in Thailand and Germany, will conduct a masterclass.
He is an actor, educator and stage director in opera, oratorio, music theatre, operetta and recital venues.
Dr. Trahan will participate in several events at Å·ÖÞ±ÍøÍ¶_Å·ÖÞ±ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø Sunday and Monday:
On Nov. 19, he will perform "The Stud and the Babe" musical theatre concert with Å·ÖÞ±ÍøÍ¶_Å·ÖÞ±ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø's Shelley Cooper, assistant professor of theatre arts. They will be accompanied by Dr. Luke Tyler, assistant professor of music at Loras Å·ÖÞ±ÍøÍ¶_Å·ÖÞ±ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø. This performance will begin at 7:30 p.m. in Wallenberg Hall, Denkman Memorial Building.
On Nov. 20, Trahan and Cooper will offer a lecture, "The Business of Theatre," from 10-11:15 a.m. in the Black Box Theatre in the Brunner Theatre Center. They will discuss non-profit and commercial theatre, and specifically non-profit management for theatre.
Also on Nov. 20, they will conduct interviews and auditions for the International Performing Arts Institute in Bavaria, and Germany Opera/Musical Theatre and Directing Fellowship. This will take place from 12:30-2:30 p.m.; location to be announced.
