Michelle King serves as Assistant Director of Individual Giving & Estate Gift Planning at Å·ÖÞ±­ÍøÍ¶_Å·ÖÞ±­ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø Å·ÖÞ±­ÍøÍ¶_Å·ÖÞ±­ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø. Michelle is privileged to build relationships with donors and help them achieve their philanthropic goals, while also meeting the strategic fundraising ambitions of Å·ÖÞ±­ÍøÍ¶_Å·ÖÞ±­ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø Å·ÖÞ±­ÍøÍ¶_Å·ÖÞ±­ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø. She designs, supports, and implements programs to increase engagement with students, alumni, and friends of Å·ÖÞ±­ÍøÍ¶_Å·ÖÞ±­ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø Å·ÖÞ±­ÍøÍ¶_Å·ÖÞ±­ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø.

She is a retired federal executive with 32-years of service with the Social Security Administration (SSA). She was a member of the Senior Executive Service for 18 years and held various executive leadership roles including Acting Commissioner, Chief Financial Officer - Deputy Commissioner for Budget, Finance, & Management, Performance Improvement Officer, and Deputy Commissioner for Operations.

Michelle has extensive postgraduate education and training in various areas of executive leadership and organizational development; federal budgeting, finance, and appropriations; team building; strategic partnerships; and public policy.

Michelle lives in Moline, Illinois, with her husband, George, their three Golden Retrievers ¡ª Sparky, Sophie Rose, and Bumble ¡ª and a cat named Smokey. She¡¯s thrilled to be back in the Midwest and is enjoying reconnecting with alumni, getting involved on campus, and engaging with the local community.
