Augie Sweethearts: Patricia Swanson '84 and William Swanson '83

William Swanson asked me to dance at the ¡°Greek Week Dance¡± in 1980. While dancing, he told me that he had seen me many times on campus and had wanted to ask me out, but did not have the nerve. I laughed and told him I was skeptical. To this he replied ¡°You have these tight, white, painters pants that look great on you.¡± After the dance, he took me to his dorm room to play backgammon. While listening to the album ¡°LSD¡± by Alleotta, Haynes and Jeremiah, he suddenly jumped up, and turned off the stereo. I later learned that he did this because the song ¡°You¡¯re Only a One Night Stand¡± came on, and he did not want me to think I was a one night stand. We married in 1984, now the longest ¡°one night stand¡± in history! By the way, I still have my white painters pants!
