Augie Sweethearts: Madelyn Kerback '80 and Keith Anderson '82

My second day at Å·ÖÞ±­ÍøͶ_Å·ÖÞ±­ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø I sat down to have my ID photo taken. Behind the camera was a handsome blond. I smiled, he snapped the camera and then he said, ¡°Hey, I need another photo. The smiling photo won¡¯t work.¡± No smile? Hmm. Odd, but okay.

Soon after, the handsome blond and I became close as we sang in The Å·ÖÞ±­ÍøͶ_Å·ÖÞ±­ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø Choir and dated on occasion. Then it happened! When I returned to Augie my junior year, he stopped by. We looked at each other and that was it! We call it as our ¡°b-bing¡± moment ¨C when we knew we were in love. We celebrate our 39th anniversary in 2019. The ID photo? I think he had a ¡°b-bing¡± moment when he first saw me smile and it distracted him from taking the first photo. Anyway, that¡¯s my story and I¡¯m sticking with it!
