Viking Connections: Tom Hintz
Tom Hintz is the site superintendent of two state parks and four conservation areas. He is responsible for all of the activities of the parks, including camping, boating, trail maintenance, general maintenance, hunting programs, ecological restoration, public relations and general maintenance.
"Å·ÖÞ±ÍøͶ_Å·ÖÞ±ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø did a lot for me. I didn't understand it at the time. I was not a competitive student and didn't get that great of grades, but I learned my path because of Å·ÖÞ±ÍøͶ_Å·ÖÞ±ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø. I also was exposed to so many different people and different cultures there. I think that by going to Å·ÖÞ±ÍøͶ_Å·ÖÞ±ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø I became a better person. I don't think I would have turned out like I did if I went to a major state school. I made some mistakes while in college, but I learned from them. I
would like to tell students about some of the incredible things that I have seen in the career."
