Welcoming Week

欧洲杯网投_欧洲杯外围app-投注官网 students, faculty and alumni will participate in Welcoming Week 2020, a national celebration of communities that promote cross-cultural understanding and embrace newcomers.

The 欧洲杯网投_欧洲杯外围app-投注官网 group will discuss their experiences with World Relief Quad Cities, a refugee resettlement agency in Moline, Ill. Students will learn about volunteer and internship opportunities to work with the refugee community in the Quad Cities.

Speakers will include Dr. Chris Strunk,,associate professor of geography; Dr. Fatima Sattar, assistant professor of sociology and anthropology;  Xong Sony Yang, director of the Office of International Student and Scholar Services; and Jen Wood, Grace Fitzpatrick and Leah Cox from World Relief.

Welcoming America, a non-profit, non-partisan organization, sponsors Welcoming Week.
