Mexican director Alfonso Cuar¨®n won a Best Director Oscar for this 2018 drama about a year in the life of a middle-class family in Mexico City in the early 1970s.
The film follows the life of the families indigenous housekeeper, and is a semi-autobiographical take on Cuar¨®n's upbringing in the Colonia Roma neighborhood of Mexico City.
¡°Roma¡± also was nominated for an Academy Awards for Best Motion Picture and Best Screen Play.
The film runs two hours, 15 minutes, and is rated R.
