The work was commissioned by \;the Medalist Concert Band of Minneapolis\, in 1990 celebrating its 20th anniversary.\n\n¡°Hymn for the Innocent¡± by \;Julie Grioux\, a musical remembrance of those loved and lost.\n\n¡°Sojourn of Dreams¡± by Kevin Walczyk. This work remembers the life of a high school band director from Oregon who died suddenly while on a mission trip in Africa.
