Belcher \;and Dr. Katy Strzepek of \;St. Ambrose.\n\nSimonsen is associate professor of history and gender studies at Å·ÖÞ±­ÍøÍ¶_Å·ÖÞ±­ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø. Her research areas include 19th and 20th century women's work\, photography and history\, and history of the western and mid-western United States.\n\nBelcher was appointed as a district court judge in 2010\, becoming the first African-American female judge in Iowa.
